New Middle Eastern Perfume Finds Featuring Naseem, Voux Patisserie and Al Absar's Mudiya with Sim Shaikh

Hello Fragrance Explorers!

In today's blog, we're diving into a haul of intriguing scents as explored by Sim from Sim Shaikh on YouTube. Sim introduces us to a range of perfumes, some purchased and others received as PR, including offerings from Paris Connect, Alapsar, Nassim, and the nostalgic Khadlaj Oil. I just love how Sim describes fragrances, so let's jump in.

Paris Connect's Voux Patisserie - A Sweet Surprise Sim starts with Vue Patisserie by Paris Connect, a scent she purchased herself. Inspired by a French patisserie, this fragrance aims to replicate the aroma of a bakery intertwined with a cinnamon roll shop. Despite its delightful concept, Sim finds the opening notes of tangerine, cardamom, and saffron a bit overwhelming and synthetic, clashing with the sweet middle and base notes of rose, apple, vanilla, and sandalwood. Sim's initial rating: 7 out of 10, hopeful that the scent will improve upon maturation.

Alapsar's Mudia - A Textured Experience Next, Sim discusses Mudia by Alapsar, noting its textured box and simple yet pretty bottle design. The perfume's heavy cap doesn't fit well, but the scent itself offers a nostalgic, albeit somewhat confusing, aroma profile. With top notes of pear and jasmine, and a mysterious sweet pear note that evokes a sense of déjà vu, Mudia promises an intriguing scent journey. However, its performance disappoints, with a projection of just a few feet and a longevity of barely an hour.

Naseem's Water-Based Wonders Sim also introduces two water-based perfumes from Nassim, highlighting their unique milky appearance and sunscreen-like scent. Despite the appealing bottles, the perfumes have a limited projection and longevity, leaving Sim unsure about their overall efficacy.

Khadlaj's Farasha - A Nostalgic Fragrance Journey Finally, Sim shares her experience with Farasha from Khadlaj, a perfume oil that evokes childhood memories with its fruity floral scent that transitions to a powdery, talcum-like dry down. The perfume's nostalgic quality earns it a favorable rating from Sim.
